Experienced and Reliable

I have illustrated literally dozens of children's books with many clients coming back to me time and again to illustrate their next story.

Working in collaboration with you, I will transform your lovingly crafted manuscript into a beautifully illustrated children's book.

I will always produce a rough sketch of each page first, which you can change as many times as you like at no extra cost. Then, when you are completely happy with the sketch, I will move on to the line drawing and then to the finished colour version.

I will be there to advise and guide at every stage, giving you final say on everything - from initial roughs to finished print-ready book.

How It Works

When we speak I will talk you through the process of designing and illustrating your book and preparing it for print. I will also answer any questions you may have and advise you of the various options open to you. I will then give you a quote for the work based on your requirements. The whole process is really very straightforward and involves just these 6 simple steps:

Step 1

Send me your story. I will read it and make a plan for the illustrations and overall book layout.

Step 2

I get work underway. For each illustration, I always start with an initial sketch, which you can alter as many times as you like without any extra cost.

Step 3

Once you’re happy with the sketch. I will complete the finished line drawing - so that everything is neat and tidy and exactly how it will appear on the final illustration.

Step 4

I will then add the colour and shading and send you a proof of the finished illustration, complete with the text, before moving on to the next one.

Step 5

When all illustrations are complete, I will design the front cover and collate everything into a finished, professional looking children’s book and submit it for your approval.

Step 6

Upon your approval I will prepare the print-ready files and guide you through the process of uploading them to Amazon, which they will print and make available to buy - free of charge.
